I help clients work towards their goals in a way that aligns with their values by accessing strengths, identifying resources and overcoming challenges. My training, interpersonal skills and cultural awareness have allowed me to foster meaningful relationships with clients of varying cultural identities in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, college clinics and mostly recently telehealth. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NY and working towards becoming a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. I am also pursuing a doctorate in counseling and counselor education.
I help clients struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar, personality disorders and substance use. I use evidence-based treatment methods such as CBT supplemented by other interventions that meet client needs such as motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy.
I love being a counselor and aspire to help clients live in line with their goals and values. I work to bring out the best in my clients by providing unwavering support, highlighting their strengths and at times challenging them to think and behave differently so they can experience different outcomes.
