I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in a variety of settings. I specialize in interventions such as individual counseling, family counseling and group work. I have extensive experience with Grief and Loss work, geriatric care and community re-integration. I subscribe to the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety and adjustments to life transition. I practice from a Multi-Cultural- Perspective; I have both a personal and professional knowledge of the impact of expatriation on each member of the family and can provide support to those who face the challenge of adapting to a new culture.
I offer therapy sessions for adults. I see conditions such as anxiety and depression as valuable messages of a deeper part of the self, calling for our attention. My therapeutic style is strongly linked to CBT and the strength perspective model. I also enjoy the use of Narrative and Solution Focus Therapy ideas in my work with clients.
In our time together my clients will have a safe and confidential space to explore their concerns. Relational pain, anxiety, and unwanted compulsions are not something we can fix in the privacy of our mental processes. Rather, we combat these things in the context of non-anxious and nonjudgmental conversation, working together toward health and wholeness.
