I believe therapy is a mutual process between the client and the therapist. The therapeutic relationship is built on trust and respect. My goal is not to "fix" someone's problems; but to offer my clients the tools to foster growth and change within themselves and their own life through the exploration of techniques, self reflection and various art mediums.
My therapeutic approach includes person-centered therapy, art therapy, and other integrative theories. Art therapy is a mental health profession in which clients use art media along with the creative process to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior, reduce anxiety, develop social skills, and increase self-esteem.
I have eight years combined experience working with disabled adults, children, and their families. I specialize in working with teens, children, young adults, and individuals with autism.
