We are wired for connection. Our desire for connection is inherent; it's just who we are. Sometimes we struggle to connect and know how to interact with people close to us. I believe that knowing how to regulate ourselves and understanding what's happening in us creates space to interact with those close to us in the ways we really want. I believe my clients have in them the potential to find who they are be confident in that so they can be connected and experience life and relationships in the ways they want to.
I am trained in EMDR and have extensive experience in working with couples and individuals in a holistic and systemic perspective. Whatever the context, my goal for clients is to experience connection in personal ways that foster vulnerability and safety in their relationships.
If you're considering trying therapy, I would encourage you to just try it. This can be a scary process, but you are brave. I have experience with couples working through issues of communication, trust, pornography, and infidelity. I also have training in anxiety and depressive disorders.
