My name is Kayla Elder and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of NY. I like to take a client-centered, eclectic approach to therapy and I believe people should be in the drivers seat of their own wellness. My focus areas include working with those who suffer from anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. I tend to work with adult individuals who suffer from anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and ADHD.
Due to my experience in these areas, these are the individuals I am most comfortable and adept at treating. “Adult” covers many years in a person’s life, and I am proficient at working with individuals of most any adult age.
The tone I try to set with my clients is one of peace and openness. I am forthcoming with my obligations as a licensed clinical social worker and what my ethical boundaries are, but I like to take a non-judgmental, client-centered approach. While I will challenge clients, when necessary,
