Hi, my name is Kay and I specialize in Women and Families. I specifically have experience with individuals healing from Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Narcissistic Abuse and Domestic Violence. I have over 15 years of therapy experience and 20 years of healthcare experience. I work with clients from adolescence into adulthood through many life cycles. My secondary interests include eating disorders in adolescents and young adults, and women's mental health related to menopause, parenting, significant others, work stress, etc.
I have worked at major hospitals, primary care clinics, nonprofit organizations and assisted living/nursing homes. I use both physical and mental health to understand the individual completely, with the ability to articulate the connections between mind/body and how our physical health contributes to our mood and vice versa.
I work with you to come to terms with life's challenges. With proven therapy methods, I will help you identify and resolve your problems. My style is direct and compassionate; I focus on providing feedback and tools to help you reach your identified goals. I am conversational in Spanish.

Groups
Beyond the Baby Blues- Black Mama Group
We offer groups for women experiencing anxiety and/or depression during pregnancy. BBB’s group model is all about bringing together women who are experiencing symptoms of perinatal depression and/or anxiety. Because our groups are closed—no one joins after the first week—members can develop trust in one another and in the group facilitators. Our goal is to create a safe and caring space that allows participants to connect with each other and regain their sense of well being. All of our groups are online and free of charge.
