I am a Licensed School/Clinical Psychologist. I have worked in the School system (at all levels) for 31 years. I spent the last 27 years working with adolescents in a High School setting so I have a lot of experience with various adolescent issues and school related problems. I also worked at The Institute for Bio-Behavioral Therapy and Research in Great Neck for ten years treating patients with a variety of anxiety disorders. I was trained primarily in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy which is based on the premise that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors.
I strive to provide a warm, safe and nurturing therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable. I help my patients to discover strategies to improve their lives. Each person is unique so the therapy experience is different for everyone. Do not be afraid to reach out and ask for help with a trained professional. I believe that trust and a positive connection between the client and therapist plays a significant role in the client's progress. I have also lived in four countries so I am culturally sensitive and welcome clients of all backgrounds.
