Hello, my name is Katrina and I look forward to learning about your healing journey. In my current practice, I work online and in-person with ages 17 and older on a range of mental health concerns, such as depression, bipolar, and anxiety management, struggles with self-harm and suicidal ideation, LGBTQIA+ empowerment, and life transitions. In addition to offering services based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and affirmative counseling, I invite clients to consider a constructivist approach, a form of therapy that encourages us all to use the power of our perspective to create meaning out of the challenges we have survived.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as an elementary school teacher and school administrator in the U.S., Italy, and China. These roles introduced me to the impact our home environments and personal relationships have on our holistic health, on the decisions we say 'Yes' or 'No' to, and on how we learn to seek meaning, purpose, and acceptance.
