As a person-centered therapist I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship with the client is essential in the healing process. I view my clients as independent and resourceful individuals who take an active role in their own healing process. My role as therapist is to promote the necessary conditions for change to occur. Although I work with all ages, I am primarily a Registered Play Therapist working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral and social issues, past trauma, abuse, depression and anxiety.
I take the time to get to know the client, discussing the reasons for pursuing therapy, then develop a personalized plan to help the client reach their goals. I have advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Sandtray Therapy Techniques, and Expressive Art Techniques.
I aim to provide every individual with a safe place to share their concerns and to develop a healthier self-image. I believe I can help clients develop tools for peace in life.
