I have experience working with people who are neurodivergent or have a disability and who struggle with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. My goal is to provide a safe supportive space for clients to process emotions that come with disabilities, both personally and for loved ones. I have worked in an eating disorder clinic where I practiced the techniques of intuitive eating and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. My experience as a special education high school teacher led me to pursue a career in counseling. I am passionate about advocating for students and their families.
I take an integrative approach with my clients and like to incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques that allow me to meet the unique needs of each individual client. I also use a variety of therapeutic skills when leading groups, including mindfulness activities. If interested, I can also incorporate spiritual manners in sessions.
