Hi I am Katlyn Tobey, RCSWI, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with a passion for helping others achieve their full potential and live peaceful, prosperous lives. I offer a compassionate and judgement-free space for open communication, growth, and empathy. My goal is to help guide my clients through their therapy journey and be an additional support system. I utilize a person-centered approach emphasizing my client’s strengths. I practice using techniques such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivation Interviewing, & Solution Focused Therapy.
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families and in treating clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, low self-esteem, family conflict, grief, trauma, adjustment disorders and who identify as LGBTQ+.
I look forward to building a connection of support and care for each of my clients and helping them to grow in their self worth, resiliency and strengths.
