We all want to feel seen and heard in our closest relationships but sometimes struggle to know how to foster that feeling. In my approach, I guide clients to use their emotions as a tool for understanding their needs and boundaries and I support them in sharing those with others. I work with individuals, couples, and families seeking support with disconnection, anxiety, substance use, affair recovery, depression, and self compassion. I specialize in working with pre-marital couples, new parents, and parent-child relationships.
First and foremost, I create an environment where every client feels heard and understood; a sense of security & safety are crucial to any therapeutic space. This belief is reinforced in the therapy I practice, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, which focuses on increasing closeness and connection in relationships by breaking ineffective habits in behavior.
I am committed to personal and professional growth, so I participate in ongoing training and supervision in Emotionally-Focused Therapy and working with diverse populations including LGBTQIA+.
