Hey there! I’m Katie. As a therapist I assist people through all of of life's ups and downs. armed with compassion, humor, and a nonjudgmental attitude I help people tackle obstacles and reach goals. First off, let's acknowledge the elephant in the room – therapy can be intimidating. It's not every day you spill your innermost thoughts to a stranger. But that’s where my job comes in, I will work to build a relationship with you at your own pace and get you to a place where you feel able to be open with me. You can expect some genuine conversations, maybe a few laughs, and yes, possibly even some tears.
I believe in building a solid relationship with my clients. Therapy isn't just about fixing what's broken; it's about creating a space where you can be authentically you. Life transitions, grief, anxiety, you name it, we'll tackle it together. I believe that human connection is a huge part of therapy. It's about feeling heard, understood, and supported.
If you're feeling nervous about therapy thing, that's totally okay! I get it. I promise I won't judge, and there's definitely no need to impress me. Just come as you are, and we will go from there.
