My desire is to instill hope in clients as they learn to listen to themselves so that they can engage in relationships and work from a place of calm confidence. I believe we all can do this, but some parts of us keep us from living the way we want to live, deep down. These “parts” might have developed from prior relational or family dysfunction or abuse, social and cultural pressures, and the aftermath of such experiences. My passion is to work with clients to identify the parts that, despite their best intentions, block us from experiencing internal peace and full connection with ourselves and with others.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1), and I often use this sort of “parts language” from IFS in sessions. I also work with couples with an emphasis on attachment styles to help build effective communication rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
