I use client centered techniques to give unconditional acceptance of where the client is currently at. This allows the client to openly express what is going on without fear of being judged. I encourage clients to express their feelings honestly and openly to allow for them to begin to find meaning and understanding of what they are going through.
Grief, tragedies, drug and alcohol issues all impact people in different ways. I believe we all cope and deal individually and should be able to process how we heal individually.
