I am a trauma focused therapist and have over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I operate from a holistic and not a medical model and have experience with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and helping with managing narcissistic abuse.
I use primarily a nondirective approach where I focus on providing empathy and offering insights to help clients approach their own conclusions and work through emotional impasses. I feel it's important to allow the client to feel that they are the director of their life and I am there to help facilitate growth and change.
We are all human beings - life can sometimes be very difficult and I see my role as a supportive one where I can offer insights, observations, suggestions, and recommendations, although I will not always have the answers. I see my role as a guide to help you reach a stronger understanding of yourself and of your issues.
