During my post-doctorate fellowship year at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, we had a serious and destructive earthquake. Medical staff and trainees throughout the hospital went into action with clothes and food for the stricken families. We helped with the all of the immediate needs that the crisis created for each person.
But then, once the shock started to wear off, many people found themselves bewildered, or depressed, or afraid, or hopeless. Lost. The trauma of the earthquake was just the surface of the person. Under that was a layered and complex combination of heart, soul, conscious and unconscious intelligence, emotion and spirit.
Life brings myriad dilemmas; and the mind and body struggle together for balance. I am a seasoned Psychologist who understands the human psyche and how all aspects of the Self function together.
