Kathy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of struggles and backgrounds. Kathy utilizes a primarily client centered approach, meeting the client where they are, and incorporating other modalities as deemed appropriate to meet the client's needs. Kathy believes that building rapport and the relationship with the client is crucial to the process. Kathy enjoys assisting individuals in coping with past and present stressors and working through life transitions.
Prior to earning her master's in counseling at Tarleton State University, Kathy traveled with her husband as a military spouse, and has worked as a case manager for adults with development delays. "I believe it is often not our thoughts themselves but the relationship we have with those thoughts that causes much of the distress in our lives.
It is my hope to help guide others through their journey to find the courage and acceptance to face and overcome whatever challenges life has brought them.
