Some people have called me the teen whisperer. I have worked with kids for over 26 years in many different communities. I spent several years in Denver working with kids in the legal system or who had been expelled from school. For 8 years I worked in a school counseling role, in addition to my private practice. I am very passionate about helping teens find their way. These are rough years and today our kids are struggling more than ever with mental health. There is a lot of unresolved trauma and helping them unpack this can be so healing. I am also a cancer survivor and mother of 3 so I understand resilience and parenting.
Additionally, I've been involved with coaching and athletics most of my life & adult career. I especially love working with athletes because I feel strongly that we learn so much about life through sports. I am honest, direct, caring, & non-judgmental. Kids like me because I am straight forward, and I will help them believe in themselves to find their truth.
Even through their complexities, I have always loved teenagers and young adults. I am committed to working with kids from diverse backgrounds. I also invite parents to reach out for guidance and counseling around helping and supporting their children. My clientele can range from 6th grade to 12th, college-aged, young adults, & parents.
