Kathryn Beddow is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Virginia who has been practicing since 2020. She has two Bachelor's degrees (Psychology and Justice and Law Administration) and one Master's degree (Social Work). It took time for her to earn each of these, and she did not do them the easy way by any means. She has taken her own path in her academic education and in real-life education. Kathryn is a Veteran and Army spouse, with a passion for helping others. She has worked in the mental health field since 2014 in multiple settings, in several states. She is an ally to all, who sees people for how they are, where they are.
Kathryn works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, substance use, grief, relational challenges, life transitions and more. She is person-centered (PCP), while pulling from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Kathryn has worked with a variety of populations; lead projects; organized events for nonprofit organizations and created an environment for colleagues to grow and thrive. She enjoys being in the community, working with other individual and organizations, while seeing the impact small acts can have on others.
