You found me! I know it can be hard to take the steps to connect with a therapist. How can I help you? Do you find yourself having difficulty navigating your thoughts and feelings? Do you struggle with feelings of anxiety? Are you struggling to navigate day-to-day stressors, life transitions, challenging relationships, upsetting circumstances, or feel held back by past traumas? Past trauma can also lead to negative cognitions or unhelpful scripts we develop about ourselves (i.e. "I'm not good enough," "I'm not lovable," "I can't trust anyone," "I'm not safe," etc.). I am here to offer you support and develop effective coping skills.
I provide an empathetic and judgement free zone to help you heal. I have training in EMDR (EMDR Institute), CBT (University of Michigan Depression Center TRAILS), DBT informed practices (DBT Institute of Michigan) and ACT as the main modalities I embrace. ( I have 18+ years experience practicing as a school counselor supporting students, staff & parents.)
My children inspired my counseling career. I adopted three older siblings after they had been rescued from a refugee camp. The trauma they experienced at such a young age motivated me to understand its impact to help others. I offer free phone consultations to help you see if I am the right fit to support your needs.
