My name is Kathy Spencer, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in California. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and I am there to help them navigate their current concerns while also guiding them to rediscover their own internal strengths and resilience.
We will work together to develop therapeutic goals that are important to you. We will track your weekly progress and make adjustments as needed. And since life does not stand still for anyone, sometimes your priorities may suddenly change, in which case we can reevaluate and look at creating new goals if needed.
During our first session, I will be actively listening to you, focusing on getting to know you and what you have been experiencing that brings you to therapy. Building initial rapport is important and something that will continue to grow over subsequent sessions.
