Hello. My name is Kathleen Pear. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Northern California. I work with adult clients statewide via telehealth who are dealing with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and loss. I am committed to supporting my clients through their challenges and helping them improve their emotional well-being and find joy and purpose in their lives. My approach to therapy is eclectic-primarily supportive and client-centered, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and positive psychology modalities.
I find that the client-centered approach helps the client and therapist develop an understanding of the client’s concerns and move forward together in partnership to address them. I want my clients to feel comfortable and safe in therapy, unconditionally accepted, respected, and supported, and never judged. I present with a warm, gentle, and calm manner.
Therapy is a partnership built on trust. I actively listen to my clients to understand their challenges and help them identify and prioritize their concerns. Together, we can set achievable goals to address their concerns and develop strategies to progress toward those goals.
