Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional that has worked as a therapist for over 15 years and in the mental health field since 1997. I work primarily with adult individuals who are desiring help coping with life stressors or challenging transitions, symptoms of depression, anxiety, or has experienced traumatic stressors in their past. Sometimes a person comes to therapy knowing what they would like different in their lives after therapy and sometimes they need help identifying those initial goals. I see my job as helping people meet their own goals about their lives.
I bring to our therapy sessions a variety of therapeutic interventions. These interventions include cognitive behavioral techniques, dialectical behavioral techniques, mindfulness techniques, attachment techniques and solution focused therapy techniques and somatic techniques.
I would like everybody I meet with to feel that I have heard them regarding what they want different in their lives, and that they leave each session feeling safe and secure in the work they are doing in therapy.
