My clinical areas of specialty include family trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, and supporting LGBTQIA2S+ identifying families. Perinatal mental health is one of my core areas of clinical interest and I am committed to ongoing training in this specialty, specifically for postpartum parents. I also have a strong interest in working with adolescents, young adults, and couples who have experienced complex trauma within their family. I draw from frameworks of radical feminism and liberation psychology in my practice to acknowledge and explore systems of oppression.
As a therapist, I believe in your right to self-determination and autonomy in the therapeutic process. I feel that my clients are experts on their own experiences and I feel privileged to be trusted with their stories and histories. I approach therapy from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental perspective.
I am extensively trained in and draw upon a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
