Hi, I’m Katherine, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Foresight–Florida. I want to help you achieve your goals, increase insights, build on your strengths, challenge your negative thought patterns, and learn effective communication skills to improve your self-esteem and relationships. I work with adults and seniors, and my specialty areas include trauma, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, grief/loss, and coping skills. I will help you navigate through life transitions and stress by using strengths-based approaches and therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I utilize trauma-focused therapy and mindfulness-based approaches with those who have experienced trauma and abuse to attend to the wounds of the past, while living in the present. With grief and loss, I help people find a balance between facing loss and re-engaging with life after loss.
While anxiety and depression may lead to feeling alone, know that in therapy, I will work alongside you to collaborate on ways to improve your quality of life.
