During graduate school at WKU, I worked as a Substance Use Therapist for one year during my internship. After graduation, I began working as a LPCA in a substance use setting for 2 years. I began working in private practice setting and obtained my LPCC in 2023. I have been working with co-occurring disorders for 3 years, and I have become familiar with working in a hybrid setting of in-person and Telehealth settings. I am very passionate with working with clients who have history of trauma and addiction.
I am a very empathetic clinician and will offer unconditional positive regard. I am a very good listener. I offer therapeutic insights and explore emotions, thoughts, and feelings with my clients. I will also challenge my clients to make changes and work with them step by step on how to make those changes to better their life.
My clients return for visits because of my empathetic demeanor and therapeutic insights. I will work with my clients at their own pace and offer my clients a non-judgmental setting. I work very hard to get to know my clients and build a relationship built on trust and understanding.
