Hi, I'm Katelyn Carr Galvin, LMFT 111653, and I approach therapy as a place where you can be seen and heard in all phases of your life. I specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety and stress often as a result of trauma, relational wounds, and overwhelming circumstances in life. I work with many women who have so much on their plates, from parenting to juggling work environments and life transitions. Wearing all these hats can feel burdensome and sometimes cause you to lose connection to yourself and others.
The women I work with are experiencing anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed, which they notice negatively impacting their daily lives and relationships. You don't have to go figure this out on your own. My approach to therapy is holistic and relational, where we can collaboratively work towards your healing, discover your strengths, and instill hope.
We will work towards naming what you're feeling, communicating with others in healthier ways, and finding tools to deal with your anxiety and stress better. I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Restoration Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Informed approaches in our sessions based on what fits your needs best.
