Most of us are taught from a young age that sex is a shameful topic that is not to be discussed openly— that any concerns, difficulties, or dissatisfaction you may experience related to sex, sexuality, or gender are to be ashamed of. I’m here to tell you that that is not true! Issues and concerns with sex and sexuality are very common, and it is healthy to talk to a therapist about them.
At Carolina Sexual Wellness Center, I work with clients of all demographics to address concerns related to sex, sexuality, or gender identity and any general mental health issues that may co-occur or be related to these issues. I strive to help clients pursue their goals and develop healthy sex lives in sex-positive, identity-affirming ways.
I take a person-in-environment approach, meaning that I use evidence-based therapeutic interventions in concert with consideration of social, personal, and environmental factors impacting mental and sexual health.
