Therapy with me is infused with humor, practicality, and compassion. I often use humor to help you build the skills you need to deal with all the challenges that come from doing life. I'm your biggest cheerleader, but also strive to give you helpful direction, and tangible skills tailored to your specific needs. I validate what you're feeling, but am also ready to call you out when helpful. I believe the ultimate goal of therapy is to help you build a life worth living, whatever that means to you!
My work is trauma-focused, and I draw primarily from attachment and psychodynamic lenses. I’m also a fan of mindfulness and self-compassion frameworks because of the gentleness of these approaches.
