As a therapist, my role is to walk with people in understanding themselves and their life stories, to help people acquire skills to cope with adversity and build resilience, and to foster health, well-being, and self-compassion in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I strive to provide a warm, inclusive environment where clients can be themselves unconditionally - where they are free and encouraged to be exactly who they are. I believe the most crucial aspect of therapy is a solid, collaborative relationship based on empathy, trust, respect, and honesty. I understand my clients as human beings who are not their symptoms or their struggles.
I pull from multiple therapeutic styles, and tailor my approach to meet every individual client's specific characteristics, goals, and needs. I work from multicultural, trauma-informed, and gender affirming lenses - always incorporating clients' cultural and individual values, identities, and lived experiences at the forefront of our therapeutic work.
