We all reach moments of crisis in our lives when situations become too complicated or overwhelming to work through independently. Whether these times are related to an acutely stressful life event or a more subtle shifting of circumstances, I hope to provide my clients with the tools and guidance to work through these difficult moments. I understand that getting to therapy is often an intimidating process, and I seek to provide a non-judgmental and supportive place in which to do the work, while also challenging each person to see his or her thoughts, feelings and behaviors more clearly.
I have worked with individuals, couples and families in clinic and school settings for over ten years, and use an eclectic, individualized approach based on the needs of the client. I am trained in Family Systems Theory, and specialize in the treatment of adolescent depression and anxiety, including OCD.
Therapy can turn moments of struggle into moments of tremendous growth. The relationship between therapist and client is essential to creating this transformation, and I do my part to create a positive and meaningful connection so that change can happen.
