I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey and a yoga teacher. I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy in 2013 by Behavioral Tech, LLC and have experience working in a DBT adherent program. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders with the use of DBT and mindfulness-based therapy. Additionally, I have experience treating women with mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse.
I seek to provide a safe environment where I can work collaboratively with my clients to identify their needs and formulate goals for treatment. I practice taking a non-judgmental stance towards all of my clients and focus on balancing acceptance and change in therapy.
Since I am also a yoga teacher, I am open to incorporating mindful movement and meditation into sessions in order to encourage healing and strengthen the connection between mind and body. I'm also open to providing meal time support and skills coaching to clients struggling with eating disordered behaviors.
