Life can be hard. My goal as a mental health professional is to create a warm, empathetic, and positive environment for clients to cope and heal through the difficult times, while working towards wellness in anticipation of better times to come. Building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, supportive space for clients of all backgrounds, age groups, and presenting concerns to share is the primary aim of my practice.
To help clients work towards wellness, my practice is grounded in person-centered therapy. This therapeutic orientation results from my belief that humans have an inclination towards becoming fully functioning. I also operate with a systemic lens, recognizing and addressing the role that family and community systems play in the lives of clients.
My goal for therapy is to provide a safe climate conducive to clients’ self-exploration so they may move towards openness, greater trust in self, willingness to be a process, and experiencing life fully.
