Hey there! I'm Karla. Do you feel stuck, as if your wheels are spinning and you don't know how to move forward? I work with individuals to determine change they hope to see and develop a client-centered plan about the best path forward to get unstuck. I am passionate about helping people identify problematic thinking patterns we can change to positively impact their moods and behaviors so the wheels aren't relentlessly spinning. I want to help people find hope again.
I offer an eclectic approach to find what works well for a client. I aim to help a client arrive at solutions through identifying negative thinking patterns to improve their overall mood and draw from the things they're already doing well. All the while, taking into consideration that every person is so unique and needs individualized treatment.
I work to create safety for the therapeutic alliance to blossom organically. I take time building rapport so clients find the level of comfort they need in therapy. And this is the reason I am so willing to go at whatever pace you need. Because in a process that is already so uncomfortable, you deserve to have comfort.
