My name is Karisma Ajodah and I am a psychotherapist and meditation instructor based in Queens, NY. I provide individual therapy to those who primarily struggle with depression, anxiety and trauma. I work with a diverse population of people with a focus on persons of color, healthcare professionals and chronic illness management.
I use a variety of tools to help you achieve your goals and this can include cognitive behavioral techniques and meditation and mindfulness exercises. I provide a safe and supportive environment and bring to the space a light touch and a sense of humor. Did you know therapy can be fun?
Being a first generation Asian American who is born and raised in New York, I also bring in my lived experience when exploring the complexity of your own identity.
