My goal is to create a safe and affirming space to facilitate growth and self-exploration and to support and meet you where you are in life. Together, we can look into what brought you into counseling, take your values into consideration and help build coping and mindfulness skills in order to navigate life or manage stress. I tend to use ACT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR skills in my practice as well. Sometimes we need a safe and unbiased space to go to in order to talk about what we are going through and to encourage growth in new ways. It’s important to take care of our mental health just as we take care of our physical health.
As a member of the Latinx community, I find it important to take intersectionality and diverse multicultural backgrounds into consideration when working with each client. I work with diverse populations and find it important to acknowledge and celebrate each client's differences and what makes them extraordinary. Unfortunately I am not fluent in Spanish.
I’m a cat mom to two adorable furballs and have a growing plant collection. I always have a book on me that I’m reading, and I thrive during the fall season. I love when clients show me pictures of their pets during sessions, in fact I encourage it! No pets? No problem! I think it is an honor to be able to sit and work with you!
