Karen believes that there is no one approach that will fit all clients, so she tailors her approach to fit each new person and situation. Karen utilizes an eclectic approach which includes Rogerian, psychoanalytic, schema therapy, REBT, and CBT to help the client better understand their past, their thoughts, and their behaviors with the goal of helping create a fulfilling future for themselves.
She works with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, employment stressors, and adjustment issues. She previously worked with adolescents, adults, and families from a wide variety of cultural, socioeconomic, sexual, and gender backgrounds during her tenure in social services settings and outpatient clinics.
