I have a lot of experience working with individuals and couples. I specialize in working on relationship problems, on individual and intergenerational trauma, and on depression and anxiety. In addition, I am sensitive to issues related to immigration, and to racial, cultural, mixed race and bicultural identity. I also work with individuals and couples to process losses due to the death or suicide of loved ones, or to infertility and divorce.
In addition to working with straight and gay couples, I work with parents and children; siblings--including twins; and friends who are having problems in their relationships. I also work with people who are questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation.
I view mental health holistically, as including stress management, exercise and diet. I have written about trauma, and about culture and psychotherapy. I have a second office near Columbia University.
