I have experience working with children, adolescents and their families. I am passionate about helping young people thrive. I like to challenge my clients to find their inner strength by helping them to develop effective coping skills. I like to engage my clients with creative interactions; this fosters trust and reinforces the practice of their skills. I believe development of one's strengths will create a lasting healing effect.
I offer support for my clients to develop coping skills, reduce stress, improve self-esteem and challenge negative thoughts and emotions. I am a Registered Play Therapist specializing in Child Centered Play Therapy, Filial Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy. I am also a Christian and I will incorporate Faith in to a client's healing when requested.
To build a working relationship that best meets my client's goals, I use a variety of integrated approaches including play therapy, sand tray therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, relaxation and other creative therapy techniques. Please note I do not provide individual therapy to adults, only children and adolescents.

Groups
CBT Group for Children
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Group for Children: Does your child often seem anxious, overwhelmed, or worried? Or, perhaps your child seems down, depressed or moody. If this describes your child, consider having them participate in our CBT Group. This group is a safe, protected place where children (ages 7-13) can get help and support from each other. The group will offer weekly Cognitive Behavioral Skills for management of a variety of commonly experienced issues in this age group.
