I am empathic and I have worked in a variety of clinical settings from a community mental health to a military hospital, from drug and alcohol counseling to a rape crisis center.
I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and treatment of trauma. I use cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, positive psychology, always informed by common sense.
I am happy to work with your primary care provider or psychiatrist to find the best medicine for you if you need medication. If you prefer not to take medication, we can often avoid it with therapy.
