I work with individuals, couples and families. I have extensive work with grief, trauma, adolescent issues, communication, co-dependency, domestic violence, and women's issues. The ideal client is ready to work hard in counseling sessions as well as outside the sessions. It seems that insight evolves often during the time between sessions when given the opportunity.
My grief speciality evolved form 8 years of hospice work with an emphasis in children's grief. I believe grief is a natural part of our life process; however, often the situations and relationships can complicate the grief process leaving individuals and families with a need for support and information.
I am a caring, experienced, energetic and direct counselor. I believe at some point in our lives, all individuals need support and someone to help work through life's trials and tribulations. I believe in the process of change and that support and acceptance are key to that change.
