I am a firm believer that trauma has ways of impacting us that are far beyond just our mental health. It will impact our spiritual health, social health, and even physical health. I will often help to clients to bring awareness to this and challenge them using holistic approaches towards the greater goal of healing. It would be my pleasure to work alongside anyone who desires to get to know themselves more as well as start to change their lives.
My approach to trauma treatment emphasizes teaching clients how to understand their trauma, then work towards healing mindfully using primarily EMDR. I also use other modalities such as CBT and DBT to increase mindfulness around how trauma has impacted client’s worldviews.
I first became interested in therapy after having taken an intro class in my undergraduate degree. Being a first generation American, it was captivating to have learned about a whole side of humans that I had never heard about. From then on, mental health work has been my passion.
