I am a dedicated social worker in the mental health field. I have over 16 years of experience in mental health. I believe that each person has the ability to heal. Healing happens in the context of a good relationship. I come from a biopsychosocial and person centered model using a solution focus and motivational interviewing approach in addition to other practice skills I have outlined below. I come from a trauma/developmental theoretical orientation. I believe that what happens to us in the past affects how we are now socio-emotionally and behaviorally including internally. I am here to help a path of healing and recovery.
I provide treatment to children, families, and adults using trauma specific technique including: EMDR, Progressive Counting (PC), Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Play Therapy. I incorporate a solution focus and Motivational approach creating a safe space and environment to heal.
I am great at engagement and treating a variety of concerns. I have an child and adult centered approach that using a solution focus to someone discover the identified concern and work towards a solution. Prescriptive approaches can be applied as needed based on the concerns presented. I look forward to working with you!
