Kara is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PCSW- 1114) and enjoys working clients in various stages of life. With her internship at the Wyoming Children's Trust Fund, Kara was actively involved in direct family advocacy work at the state level, including public health studies, outreach and education, and community-specific programming recommendations. Kara was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and she is the mother of three beautiful children who are growing up in this community as well.
In 2022, Kara was appointed by the Governor to sit on the Wyoming Early Intervention Council, as part of the Wyoming Department of Health, where she acts as a parent representative in the development of community-based programs and services for families of children ages birth to 5, who are identified as having developmental delays and/or disabilities.
Kara is a passionate champion for gender equality, the advancement of women, families, and communities. Kara is currently completing her Masters in Social Work in order to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
