Yearning often compels my clients to begin our work together. Yearning for a different relationship with parts of themselves, others, the past. Yearning for wholeness or empowerment in the face of trauma, grief, or tremendous life transitions—maybe all of these. Perhaps clients can’t put their finger on what exactly the yearning is for, but they know they are not fully occupying their own skin. I work with individuals experiencing depression & anxiety, grief & loss, trauma, attachment wounds, and the impact of addictive family systems. When clients relate to themselves in new ways or make formerly impossible choices, I am elated.
I offer a container to hold clients’ questions, identities and stories with tenderness, curiosity, and openness. Internal Family Systems is the foundation of my therapeutic work—I complement this with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic work, trauma-informed practices, and neuroscience research.
