"Life's roughest storms prove the strength of our anchors!" With almost 20 years of experience in working with individuals of all ages as well as families, I have taken great pride in helping others recognize their individual strengths to weather the many storms of life. Although I work with all ages, I have a special passion for working with older children and teens and their families. Throughout my career, I have helped parents find the balance of providing support and love coupled with discipline to have healthy, happy relationships with their children and teens.
Regardless of age, I believe that the client should be in control of their goals for therapy. Together we will develop a plan that is unique to your needs. I will help you identify the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and work to help you change unhealthy patterns that are contributing to stress in your life.
Making the decision to go to therapy can be hard and choosing a therapist can be even harder. I often tell my clients, especially the teens, that people tend to assume the worst about therapy and are pleasantly surprised after the first session. Don't forget "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." You deserve peace and happiness.
