I am a psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience working with adults who struggle with very challenging emotional experiences. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, out-of-control, anxious, angry, unhappy, depressed, alone, defective, or broken. This may translate into engaging in behaviors that both soothe them and hurt them, whether these involve food, alcohol, drugs, self-harm, unhealthy relationships, or even being over-busy or perfectionist.
When working with clients, I operate with a person-centered, solution focused, cognitive behavioral approach. The foundation of our work is based on identifying what you want for yourself in your life and then helping you to shift problematic thinking patterns or strategies that are creating roadblocks to your success. I also offer EMDR.
