Hi there! My name is Kami and I am a therapist in Manhattan, KS. My ideal clients vary but can be narrowed down to individuals that have had experiences that have negatively shaped their self-thoughts and beliefs to misrepresent who they authentically are. That ranges from adolescents to late adulthood. I love working with clients who want to repair the negative thoughts and beliefs and return to a level of functioning/living that is enjoyable and fulfilling.
I focus on creating compassion and safety to support each client throughout the change process. I believe that we all have unique experiences that shape our thoughts and behaviors to respond to challenges and threats differently. I use a collaborative approach to formulate treatment plans through a trauma-focused and systemic lens.
I know asking for help and talking about deep dark secrets can be hard. My first goal in therapy is to connect. I want each of my clients to feel heard, understood, and secure when they are in session.
