Through a strengths-based perspective, I will help you examine how attachment patterns have formed and affect one throughout our lives. As someone who enjoys working with children, families and adults in a collaborative relationship, I offer structured exercises as well as a place to feel comfortable expressing emotions. I believe that the “relationship” is the strongest catalyst for change from a psychological perspective. It is up to the client to create goals and it is my job to help you find ways to meet them. Positive Psychology helps one to develop resilience, optimism, happiness, motivation, hope and positive thinking.
I consider my theory of choice to be somewhat eclectic, with a profound emphasis on Positive Psychology and Adlerian Theory. I feel that relationships are a key component to success in life and that can only be accomplished through being optimistic. To reduce anxiety and depression, mindfulness and exposure therapy can be helpful.
Session will consist of skill-based work to acknowledge, understand and use emotions as a positive force for our happiness and relationships.
